Delta expand route to Anchorage airport

Feb. 8, 2007 Delta airlines customers craving the adventure of summer travel to America’s last frontier should look no further than the airline’s convenient schedule of summer flights between Alaska and the U.S. mainland. With the addition of nonstop route between Ted Stevens Anchorage airport and Los Angeles, this summer will mark the first time Delta has offered nonstop service between four of its U.S. gateways and Alaska, with service beginning as follows:

Anchorage-Los Angeles: June 7
“With returning nonstop seasonal service between Alaska and Delta’s key hubs, along with new nonstop service from Los Angeles, Delta customers across the country are just one-stop away from the breathtaking scenery and environmental wonders of our 49th state,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s managing director of Schedule Planning. “The seasonal service complements Delta’s existing year-round nonstop flights between Salt Lake City and Anchorage, which will be upgraded to two daily nonstop flights this summer to accommodate our customers’ travel plans.”

Delta’s added nonstop service to Alaska will be operated with a variety of 150-passenger Boeing 737, 183-passenger Boeing 757 and 250-passenger Boeing 767 aircraft, all of which feature two-class service featuring in-flight entertainment, meal service and Delta’s signature snack and beverage program.
