cheap flights Tijuana to lax on delta

April 17, 2007 delta airlines offer more route to Mexico from its growing Latin gateway at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with new nonstop flights to two of Mexico’s most historical and popular cities: Tijuana and Zacatecas**. The flights are the latest additions in a series of more than 10 new nonstop Mexican destinations served by Delta and the Delta Connection carriers from Los Angeles.

“Delta remains bullish on growth in the Mexican market based on the continued increase in customer demand we are seeing for travel to and from most every region of the country,” said Glen Hauenstein, Delta’s executive vice president – Network Planning and Revenue Management. “Mexico now represents the largest international market for Delta and Delta Connection with regularly scheduled service to more than 20 Mexican destinations.”

Service between Los Angeles and Tijuana, the most famous destination along the U.S.-Mexico border, begins June 7 with two daily flights. Zacatecas, Mexico’s fabled “silver city” known for its historic town center featuring magnificent churches, abandoned convents and breathtaking Baroque architecture, will be served with three weekly flights beginning June 8.

Delta’s expansion to Tijuana and Zacatecas is the latest in a series of efforts to enhance service for Hispanic travelers with more services in Spanish and more destinations that connect U.S. Hispanic customers to their favorite Latin destinations. To complement the Spanish language option tool on delta.com, the airline recently introduced its self-service kiosks en espaƱol. The Spanish-language kiosks are now available in U.S. and Puerto Rico airports offering travelers faster check-in for international and domestic flights.
