American Airlines currently operates nonstop service to Tokyo's Narita airport using Boeing 777 aircraft from ORD (daily), DFW (twice daily), Los Angeles (daily), and JFK (daily). In May, American Airlines received authority from the U.S. Department of Transportation to operate daily, year-round service from New York's JFK to Tokyo's Haneda (HND), which will start Jan. 20, 2011.
