aa increase flights to Dubuque Airport Iowa

American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, today announced it is adding another daily round-trip flight between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Dubuque Regional Airport in Dubuque, Iowa, beginning April 5. The route operated with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jets.
"This is excellent news and a testament to Dubuque's economic strength and bright future," said Senator Tom Harkin (D-Iowa). "Dubuque's community leaders have done a great job of attracting jobs to the area, and now we're seeing that pay off. American airlines fly to Boise Airport Idaho

American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will begin nonstop jet service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Boise Airport (BOI) in Boise, Idaho, beginning April 5. Eagle will operate the service with 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jets.
"Adding these flights is a great sign of better days ahead for Idaho. American Airlines is showing confidence that the Boise market and Idaho's economy will generate the kind of revenue it needs to operate this route profitably," said Idaho Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter. American recently announced a significant increase in service from Los Angeles, the largest domestic city in terms of traffic and a premier gateway to the Asia Pacific region. riga airport new destinations and schedule

With the summer flight schedule setting in, Riga International Airport is planning to increase flight frequency by sixteen percent year on year. There will be more flights to such destinations as Kiev, Lappeenranta, Vilnius, Berlin, Kaliningrad, Bergen, Helsinki and other. The estimated passenger traffic is expected to rise by 200 thousand passengers compared with the same period in 2010.

Six new destinations will be opened: the airline airBaltic will fly to Budapest and Gdansk four times a week and once a week to Bari (Italy), Turkish Airlines twice a week will carry passengers to Antalya, whereas the budget airline Ryanair four times a week will fly to Ciampino Airport, Rome.

This year two new airlines will start operations at the airport: Skyways that 13 times a week will fly to/from Gothenburg (Sweden) and El Al/Sundor that is planning to commence flights to/from Tel Aviv.


„In view of the estimated increase of the passenger traffic, on the existing airport premises three new gates will be established by 1 June. We will also recruit additional passenger service staff for the summer season,” said Arnis Luhse, Chairman of the Board of Riga International Airport.

„The capacity of the airport is limited therefore we will organise our work in such a way as to serve our passengers to the best of our ability, ” added A.Luhse.

In the first three months of 2011 Riga International Airport has welcomed almost 940 thousand passengers or three percent more, year on year.
In the period from January to March slightly more than 15 thousand aircraft and 2 800 tonnes of various cargo were handled at the airport.

Riga to Antalya flights on Tuesdays/Saturdays

On Saturday, 23 April, at Riga International Airport the first direct flight was launched on the route Riga - Antalya.

The carrier Turkish Airlines will perform direct flights two times a week: on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The airline will operate the flights on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft and the flight duration will be approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes. Business Class customers enjoy 35 inches seat pitch and airport lounge access.

To celebrate this event a special cake in the form of a beach in turquoise colour was made for the passengers of the flight. Antalya is the main tourism centre and is called Turkish Riviera. At the security checkpoint, TSA will scan the electronic boarding pass, check the customer’s ID and process the customer through security.
Customers can then proceed to their departure gate, present their electronic boarding pass to the gate agent at boarding time and board with their designated zone.

Feb. 8, 2007 Delta airlines customers craving the adventure of summer travel to America’s last frontier should look no further than the airline’s convenient schedule of summer flights between Alaska and the U.S. mainland. Delta airlines offer international customers nonstop flights between the world’s largest airline hub in Atlanta Georgia and Prague, Czech Republic. The flight is the first of 14 new international routes planned between now and June.

Delta operate the service using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft seating up to 214 passengers and featuring Delta’s refurbished business and economy class service. Customers can enjoy Delta’s award-winning BusinessElite service featuring all-leather sleeper seats with 60 inches of legroom, innovative food offerings designed by celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein -- including award-winning, original wine selections – and industry-leading, on-demand personal in-seat entertainment boasting more than 20 first-run and popular classic movies, a variety of TV programs, a broad range of music, and a suite of 12 video games. Economy class customers also will benefit from new all-leather economy seats, amenity kits, enhanced food offerings and a complimentary cocktail with each meal.

With the new service, Delta strengthens its position as the leading U.S. carrier to Central and Eastern Europe, building on existing routes to Budapest, Kiev, Moscow, Vienna (effective May 21) and Bucharest (effective June 5).

SkyTeam partner CSA Czech Airlines will codeshare with Delta on its Atlanta service, offering customers in the Czech Republic and the United States more opportunities to earn and redeem miles with both airlines’ frequent flyer programs. The new route also offers multiple opportunities for freight forwarders and cargo shippers who can more quickly connect goods between Prague and destinations around the world via Delta’s burgeoning Atlanta hub.

“Flights to Prague mark the first step in another historic summer of international growth for Delta, which will be followed by additional trans-Atlantic, trans-Pacific, Latin and Caribbean service for customers flying from most every Delta gateway,” Hauenstein continued.
