In spite of the early onset of winter, which has posed many challenges to air traffic, Copenhagen Airport recorded 12.2% growth in November. A total of 1,688,887 passengers travelled through the airport, which was almost 5,000 more than the previous record for the month of November, which was set in 2007.
“The performance was in line with the track record from the previous months of the year of growth in both domestic, international and transfer traffic. The winter weather naturally posed challenges by way of a number of flight cancellations, and against this background, the improvement is highly satisfactory, said Carsten Nørland, VP, Sales and Marketing for Copenhagen Airport.
Domestic traffic increased by 18.0% in November, whilst the number of locally departing international passengers increased by 11.4%. Transfer traffic rose by 4.8% in November.
The year-to-date increase in passenger numbers at Copenhagen Airport is 9.0%.
