muscat to germany flights in oman air

18 October 2009 Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman launched on September 30th its non-stop scheduled services between Muscat and Frankfurt and services between Muscat and Munich on October 1st. The carrier now offers passengers four weekly flights to Frankfurt and three weekly flights to Munich.

To commemorate its new flights to Frankfurt Oman Air has arranged for gala dinner on the 19th , under the patronage of His Excellency Darwish bin Ismail bin Ali Al Bulushi, member of the board of Directors of Oman Air and Secretary General of Ministry of Finance, while a commemorative event will be held in Munich on the 21st under the patronage of H.E. Mohamed bin Hamood bin Zahir Al Toobi undersecretary of Tourism, at the Ministry of Tourism.
Oman Air flies four times weekly between Frankfurt and Muscat on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and flies three times between Munich and Muscat on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Peter Hill Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer says:
“Frankfurt and Munich are one of our prime target markets in Europe, and with Oman already having made a niche with the leisure travel segment, thanks to efforts of the Ministry of Oman Tourism; we are really excited about the prospects of developing both business and tourist traffic on these new routes. With the unmatched luxury provided by our new fleet of Airbus and the exceptional services both on board and at the airport, we are sure Oman Air will reinforce its position in long haul routes.”

At a time when other airlines are cutting back their services, Oman Air has been embarking on a steady plan of adding more destinations and expanding the fleet size.
